Ashfall Legacy
Ashfall Legacy is the kind of mobile RPG that respects your time without dumbing itself down. You play a wanderer returning to a land still coated in ash from an old catastrophe, and the main quest branches based on who you help and who you refuse. The writing is genuinely good — characters remember your decisions, and a few late-game moments landed harder than we expected from a phone game.
Combat is turn-based with a positioning twist: where you stand on the small grid changes your abilities, so encounters ask you to think rather than mash. The skill trees are broad enough that two players can build wildly different parties. We ran a support-heavy team and it felt totally viable against the tougher optional bosses.
Progression is paced well. Levels come steadily, gear feels meaningful, and there's no wall that suddenly demands you grind for days. If you want one narrative RPG to sink twenty hours into on mobile, this is an easy recommendation.
What we liked

- Positioning-based combat with real depth
